Thank you for your interest in applying for an internship with Congressman Ted Deutch's office. Students in college, law school, graduate school, or senior year of high school are welcome to apply for internships. All positions are unpaid, however, the office can help arrange for academic credit. Interns are responsible for all housing and travel related costs. Internships are available in the Congressman's Washington, DC office and district headquarters in Boca Raton, FL.
Interns are expected to have an interest in the political process, exceptional writing skills, and a professional demeanor and attire. In the Boca Raton district headquarters, interns assist constituent representatives with federal casework and learn firsthand how a congressional office interacts with the local community. In the Washington, DC office, interns assist staff by conducting legislative research, writing constituent letters, and attending briefings and hearings. Both experiences provide valuable knowledge of the inner workings of a congressional office.
